We're seeing an issue on the document module (4.5 RC3) where the list of documents only shows to logged in users even thought the page and module are set to "All Users".  This is new behavior after the upgrade.  We're running doc module 03.01.06.  We see the "permission issue are well"

Are we doing something wrong in file manager?  We did the recursive sync and nothing changed.

The problem has been around for quite awhile (DNN 3.3.5/4.3.5 I believe). I ran into it using the links module to point to a couple of .pdf files on our intranet site and the only way to get around it was to set the permissions (via File Manager) on the folder the .pdf file were in.

I don't know if any guidance was provided on this.  I'm having trouble with this as well.  I stumbled upon a work around for now - for each document, I de-selected the "" box and that enabled the download for the document.  I had to do the same for each document.

Placing the files in a folder and setting permisison s on that folder appropriately resolved both issues.  Actually, IMO it's not an issue at all...it's working as designed.  The previous document module would allow you expose files to users who might not have permissions to see or download them.

This change has caused some heartburn with our account managers and customers, but when explained it makes sense to everyone.  Unforetunately for them their file management is less than perfect so it represents some re-work to clean this up.
