I also ran into this issue (database script installation not starting) with a source install of DNN 6 Beta 2. It is definitely related to browser caching. The RaiseClientAPICallbackEvent function never gets hit after the user clicks the "Next" button to begin script installation. After I cleared the browser cache (IE 9) and clicked the "Next" button the script installation would procede to completion without error.

Hi everyone,

I am reopening issue http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=16715&PROJID=2 which was supposed to fix these problems. Will add Bill's additional info to the bug.

Thanks,

Hi Adam, would you be able to check your java script console to see if there are any java script errors. also, if I'm correct you are using a virtual environment to test DNN 6. would you be able to send us a copy of your VM so we could try to reproduce the issue in house.

Thanks,

Just to confirm, after having a remote session with Keivan, this issue has been resolved in a later internal build version. Thanks Keivan for spending the time confirming.

Regards
Craig Mitchell
