Hello! I have inherited a DNN site from another web developer and very new to DNN.

My issue is the URL. No matter what tab I click, there is no URL in the address bar. I know how to get to a specific tab but I do not understand why it is not showing up. For example, the student tab in www.planetgpa.com is http://www.planetgpa.com/usasiaedu/dotnetnuke/students.aspx

I assume this might have something to do with the rule settings in the host settings. I pasted the current rules:

.*DesktopDefault.aspx(.*) ~/Default.aspx$1
.*EditModule.aspx(.*) ~/Default.aspx$1
.*/TabId/(\d+)(.*)/Logoff.aspx ~/Admin/Security/Logoff.aspx?tabid=$1
.*/TabId/(\d+)(.*)/rss.aspx ~/rss.aspx?TabId=$1
[^?]*/TabId/(\d+)(.*) ~/Default.aspx?TabId=$1

If links from another site are being redirected to the planetgpa.com site, could this be the reason the urls are not showing up?

what do you mean by "no URL"? usually the page path will show up properly with the default roles above, do you use a frame around your site or sth like this?

No matter where I navigate throughout the website, the URL stays the same as planetgpa.com. I could be in the student tab and it still says planetgpa.com at the top.

The real URL should show on the address bar as: http://planetgpa.com/usasiaedu/dotnetnuke/students.aspx

it's not a DotNetNuke issue - you have your whole website contained within a frameset i.e. go to view>source in your browser and you'll see that the website is contained within a 100% sized frame that hosts http://www.fmeaworld.com (the actual URL of your website). I don't know why this is done this way - if you have access to the fmeaworld.com hosting service that add the planetgpa.com as a portal alias and ensure it's added as a host header in IIS

Thank you so much for the reply, seriously!

So I did some research and found that the site is set to have forwarding with masking to fmeaworld.com, which is why planetgpa.com is in a frameset.

When I turn the masking with forwarding off, the issue is not resolved. fmeaworld continues to show the DNN content that I want on planetgpa.com, when I change the nameservers of planetgpa.com to the same as fmeaworld.com, i get a "page not found" for planetgpa.com. Either I am not waiting long enough to see a corrected change, or there's something I need to change in DotNetNuke and I do not have enough experience to know what to change especially if it has something to do with the web.config file.

At this point, if anyone can offer any assistance, please respond, I would be happy to compensate.
