Since it sounds like there are 'buyers' in the marketplace, would you guys consider a 'price' so we each don't have to recreate the SQL and modules, etc? I, for one, would like to reduce my one-off customization, and I recognize that's why I buy the Snowcovered Modules like Active Social, Ultra Video Gallery, News Articles, etc. Cha-ching?

it's not my department, but i'll pass this onto the team who own this area. However as Shaun's said often before, DotNetNuke Corporation is not in the module selling business (theres a wide ecosystem of people out there who do a fine job at that), we either give away code (e.g. forge projects - which means it's not Corp supported) , it becomes part of the product (either CE or PE/EE) or else it simply stays as an internal project as it's too much effort or there are too many dependencies to justify the time spent making it public.

Greetings ~ The community recognition system components are custom built for our internal usage. At present we have no specific plans to productize this functionality or release it to the Forge, although we do understand this has broader potential application. At this point we (the Community Programs team) are simply focussed on ensuring that our own tools are functioning well and easily maintained. We publish a LOT of the functionality we build, but much of it is also internally focussed and not easily de-coupled from proprietary dependencies. Cheers, Scott

Hi Scott,

I would like to suggest that DNN core be modified to offer a centralized awards system so that module creators will have an API to integrate their modules with the system.  This would be a very welcomed advance to the great leap DNN took with social in v 6.2

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if you already have this is the works.

I didn't find a place in the menu to make this suggestion formally so please pass this on since you probably know where to submit it.
