If you have a file named app_offline.htm in the root folder of your DNN web site, that will display instead of your dnn sites.

Add a file in the root folder named app_offline.htm

This will "take down" your site (part of ASP.Net 2.x).

Great! Thanks very much!

One more question though:
How can I still see my changes in progress when my site is offline? Off course I want to check the result before I put my website back online again!

(I'm a bit afraid this could be a pretty dumb question, but I'm wondering how this would work sincerely....)
