I have made all the suggested changes up to this point and making headway. Down to 4 or 5 seconds for retruning pages. Going to focus on the SQL Server and see if any issues there.

I appreciate everyones help! if there are other suggestions or areas to look at, please feel free to let me know. Also, would upgrading the software to the latest version buy may any beneift? Maybe that is a loaded question.....

One question what was never answered - how much RAM does the server have installed.
If it only has a small amount of ram -- paging will contribute to this sort of timing.

as to an upgrade - the latest versions of dnn have been optimized considerably, BUT I would suggest that getting to the bottom of where the server performance issues lie would be a better safe to start.

The server has 2 GB of RAM
