4.4.1 is about 5 years old and I strongly suggest upgrading it,due to known security issues.

Be careful when upgrading, esp. with major relase upgrades. You should install a copy of your DNN installation and database on a test server or your local machine, perform the upgrade there, test if everything works, and then perform the upgrade on your production server. Repeat these steps for every upgrade suggested in the upgrade path above.

When some module does not work, search for a version that works with the DNN version installed. Include this in your upgrade package.

When you have issues with the skin, try to fix it and install the new skin package.

This could be a long way, but in the end it's worth the effort.
