Here's what you'll need to do.

  1. Go to the HOST/Extensions page
  2. Find your module
  3. Click on the EDIT pencil there next to the module in question.
  4. Find the Module Definitions section, you may see a couple of controls listed, that point to your ASCX files.
  5. Find the reference to the ASCX file you are wanting to load, see what the KEY or ControlKey is for that ASCX file, that is the text you need to put into EditUrl("ControlKey")

Hope that helps

Thanks for all the help Chris!  While the control key was not the source of the problem, the directions you gave me led me to find that the source was pointing to a file that did not exist.  Once I corrected that everything worked as intended.

Another question on the same topic.  I have created a new Module Control named InactivityManager to the sCare Home Extension, the Control Key is InactivityManager, the source is DesktopModules/sCare/InactivityManager/InactivityManager.ascx, and the code is as follows:

Public Sub btnlckResident_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnlckResident.Click
    Response.Redirect(EditUrl("InactivityManager"))
End Sub

When the button is clicked I get a refreshed Home page instead of the Inactivity Manager page.  Not sure if this information matters, but the version is 05.06.03.

What "type" do you have defined on the Module Definition? VIEW/EDIT/ADMIN/HOST etc? It should be EDIT which basically says anyone with EDIT permissions should be able to access that control.

Also, is the URL different when you try to access that control?

The module was defined as VIEW.
The URL for the Home page is http://www.v3.os2fsdemo.com/home/supr...
It changes to http://www.v3.os2fsdemo.com /Default.aspx?tabid=60 when the View/Delete Holds link is clicked.
When I changed the Module Definition to EDIT I got the same results.
