So today I learned I was hacked by the Muslim Liberation Army.  PowerDNN did a restore for me from last night and within a few minutes it had been compromised again.  They restored again and the exact same thing happened.

Now I've been told they started the hack about 9 days ago and they have coded a backdoor in my sites.  I was wondering if anyone has had any similar situations and if so could you provide me any insight.  I went with DNN because I thought it was a secure setup....  but now I'm stuck digging through code I am not familiar with to find this so called backdoor.

Thanks!

Which DNN version? Did you block execution on legacy .asp files?

Justin,
DNN is secure, if you are following security advises and allways keep your DNN installation upgraded to a secure version. You also need to be careful installing 3rd party extensions, every extension (including skin) is code and may have full control over your web site.

For your current situation you need to identify any files the intruder may have uploaded and may use to regain access to the site. PowerDNN may help you to identify those files, or any other experienced DNN expert.

I was on 5.6.0 and PowerDNN upgraded it to 5.6.3.  I haven't done anything about legacy asp file so will have to look at that.  PowerDNN said that I would have to fix it myself or hire a 3rd Party and recommended DNNHelp.com.  I have tried to contact DNNHelp.com but no one has responded.  I can't afford to spend a lot but at the same time have to get it fixed.  If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
