Ventrian News Articles on several of our clients webs ... quite robust

Ventrian is what I use for clients. If I were starting out now I'd take a close look at DigMike's before deciding. But with the subscription at Ventrian you also get some other very handy, solid modules. All rock solid.

I think Chris Onyak (OnyakTech) may also have a news module, and he also has a lot of very useful modules.

Support is good/great at both Onyak and Ventrian.

I would say it depends on what you want to do with it and how big you think your site might grow.

If you just want a down and dirty news module that can also grow with you a little down the road - Ventrian's News Articles is the best.

If you want the Cadillac of DNN news modules Mike's DigArticle is the one.

If you want to use LiveWriter at all DigArticle wins hands down. For customization News Articles used to be the king - DigArticle is now even better. DigArticle is also the most actively developed of all the DNN news modules.

I use Ventrian NA, which is a good product, but in the last two years has developed very little.
Looks very interesting digArticle.
