I have this same issue in DNN 7: the errant code inserts itself when you toggle between the Design and the HTML windows.  Because of this automation, the logic behind this editor will irk developers and HTML coders the most.

Beware when upgrading to these newer DNN versions -- it's quite a task to be taking out these 0 PX entries on all the included tables in HTML.

My workaround:

1) Copy your HTML to another actual editor such as Dreamweaver (the version I'm using is so old and still functional, that it's embarrassing that this workaround is superior to the DNN editor). There are other editors, but do not use Front Page, since like the DNN editor, Front Page also adds junk HTML code.
2) Make your edits in that other software.
3) Add style="width:100%" to the table tag. You must explicitly code this width, and using CSS is NOT enough (lack of CSS support is again, embarrassing to the misfunctioning DNN editor, since CSS support is now an old standard).
4) Paste back into the HTML view of the DNN editor
5) Because you hardcoded a width, the editor will not override your HTML code.

Hi. I've found that latest version of DNN still has this bug. Although it's not a big trouble for advanced users, some of my customers won't be able to fix this themselves. I'm currently reverting back the table width to "inherit" using jQuery, but this bug has to be fixed by Telerik or DNN.

After comparing another site that does not have a problem, it seems RadEditor set width to 0px only if check "Remove scripts" is unchecked.

This is still an issue in some instances of DNN 7.2.1. I've seen complaints about this in at least 7 different places and no response from anyone in DNN corporate except for closing a ticket without addressing the problem...
I checked to see if this issue occurs in a fresh install of 7.2.1 and it does not. So then I worked to figure out the differences between the sites and found a way to replicate the issue on the fresh install of 7.2.1. In the Editor Configuration for the RadEditorProvider, if you uncheck "MakeUrlsAbsolute" and leave all other Content Filters checked, you'll see the problem. If you uncheck "MakeUrlsAbsolute" and "PdfExportFilter", or just have all Content Filters checked, the problem goes away.

This ticket seems to be referencing a very similar issue but says it only happens in IE. I'm seeing it in FireFox:
