Perhaps a custom use for the Form and List module using the XSLT for customizing the display?

I would go for a simple forms and list

define theform as input you want, define the display of the lsit using csl and create a search form for it. I think there are default tempaltes in the forms and list module that setup this kind of setup you woul ust need to modify the input form
