ok.. I'm fine just adding the code directly to the default.aspx page, however the DNN GA tool will not let me turn it off.  I can't remove the code because it's a required field and deleting the module itself still leaves the settings in the database so that they pages still render with the GA tracking code originally added..  any ideas how to solve that?

AFAIR, you need to remove the value in table portalSettings.

Thanks.. that makes sense.. delete the portalsettings row?  is that the only direct db edit that is needed?

Jay, yes - and restart the app pool to reload the settings.
