Hello

I'm having trouble upgrading the version of jQuery currently in use on our portal.

I'm aware that the "jQuery Settings" section under Host Settings is no longer in use / depreciated in DNN 7.2.2 as noted in issue DNN-4913, and that we should be using the "JavaScript Library" section under "Extensions" instead.

"Use javascript libraries CDN" is enabled in host settings.

I am trying to amend the Custom CDN for jQuery, jQuery Migrate and jQuery UI.

When I set these to http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js, http://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js and http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.min.js respectively, only the Migrate plugin is affected.

The source code of my pages look like this now:

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/..." type="text/javascript"></script><script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate..." type="text/javascript"></script><script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/..." type="text/javascript"></script>

Notice that the jQuery and jQuery UI plugins are still using the Default CDN (google). Is there any reason for this?

Thank you

I'll be doing some work in this area soon (for 7.3.0) and will check, but could you please check and make sure you're not seeing a caching issue i.e. increment the version of client resource management (host->host settings->advanced settings->client resource management), and perhaps also do a tools->recycle application domain (as I fixed a bug with cached versions earlier) and see if the changes are picked up

Hi Cathal, I've tried incrementing resource version, clearing cache, recycle app and restarting the web site and application pool to no effect.

Looking forward to the new release! Thanks for your help.

Hi Cathal,

I would to point out as well that this is still an issue on v7.3.0 of DNN.

I have debugging turned off via the web.config and and now seeing the use of the default javascript libraries but it is still not using the Custom URL for javascript libraries.
I have noticed there is an open JIRA issue as well for this issue : https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow...

Please let me know if this is in fact still an issue and if so, that there may be a work around for it.
Thanks

Just a follow up to my previous post, I see that this issue is still present after the recent 7.3.1 release.
