Except if i miss something, the comportment is only due to the aria-haspopup attribute (no impact of the doubletaptogo code in this case, which didn't work as you have remarked) which has been made by Microsoft to give an alternative to the hover in case of touch device. But it seem they have not take care of the mixed input device (touch and mouse).

I'll see if i can find a way to distinct touch and mouse, but it didn't seem so easy as jquery mousemove and jquery tap are invoked whatever input device you use.
