I'm looking for an sql module (better if lightweight) that allows to:

- Run a custom query like "SELECT FirstName, LastName FROM myTable"

- Generate repeating templates with --- before section --- repeat section --- after section

- Allows of course to insert the retrieved fields in the repeat section as tokens [FirstName] ...

- Allows conditional checks to test if retrieved fields are empty/null inside the template like [ifEsists:FirstName] and [ifnotExists:FirstName]

Thanks for your suggestions on existing modules or alternatives

Max, have you had a look at DNN Reports module (http://dnnreports.codeplex.com)?

Hallo Sebastian! This would seem exactly what I need but is missing 2 parts:
- An header and footer section that goes befor and after the HTML template repeater
- The ability to conditionally display sections/tokens based on the field being empty/null or not... (for example if the "image" field is not empty display the HTML code for the image otherwise skip that part and so on...)

With just those 2 little addition I think it would cover most scenarios for "static" display of data.

The reports module works good but you can also take a look at 2sexycontent as this gives you more power over your templating since you can use c# razor scripting for templates

link to an example app.

I used  this myself to create custom displays of the journal
