Using DNN 7.4.0, I did as Cathal instructed and put the Project ID in the Project Name field. And it made no difference. I get the same error. In addition, on the accept screen, the user sees my randomly generated ProjectID for what is asking for permission rather than something that makes sense like the url.

Any more ideas?

I faced a similar issue and what happened for me was selecting the client ID and client secret from Google would automatically highlight the values. If you simply copy and paste like that, for me it also included leading and trailing spaces. After getting rid of the leading and trailing spaces the authentication was successful.
