John, if you want to donate some of your time to help developing the module, the team leader will probably appreciate that. If you like, please contact him directly about that

I am finishing up today, re-testing the notifications and packaging the Private Assembly...I hope to have the Beta version out mid-week.  I know others have said it takes 4-6 weeks after submitted for the module to go through the internal release process.  I will check in the Source when I issue the Beta.

This will be the last version targeted at DNN 3.x and .NET 1.1...

If you send me a private email, I'll make sure you're on the Beta list.

thanks,
  Alan

John.  Actually I have been using ASP.NET 2.0 for over a year now and have developed several internal use DNN modules using WAP and ASP.NET 2.0.  In fact, I submitted documents outlining some of our internal DNN ASP.NET 2.0 development techniques that could benefit the community...  However, Erik is right the DNN community is very diverse and we don't want to alienate our user base by forgetting that there are many out there still on DNN 3.  This will be the last version of the Event module for DNN 3...we have some cool plans for continous improvement of the module and are gaining support from other talented developers.  That's what makes the DotNetNuke Environment so cool...you get the support from many other talented folks, if folks are willing to step back and see the big picture.  We hear you and are moving rapidly to improve responsiveness...but not at the cost of buggy or bad code (something I regret we did a great job on in the past).
