I don't know how to remove the "calendar" tooltip, but the upcoming version 3.03 of the Events module will not have this. The new version was submitted to the Module Release and Certification process this week, and I hope it will be released soon.

I think the real problem is the tooltip does not always work.  Normally it will display the text that is in the event.  However, it seems to me that sometimes it cannot and so it just displays calendar.  So, I think the right question is why doesn't the tooltip always display the event text.  :-)

No, the tooltip does display the text for the event all the time, the problem is the "Calendar" tooltip always displays over top of the event tooltip, causing me not to be able to read the event tool tip. I did find that by adding "Tooltip='Something'" the word "Calendar" in the calendar tooltip changes to whatever I type in the value of 'Something', but i was never able to get it to disappear, and leaving the ToolTip property out makes it display "Calendar" as if there is some code that replaces a null with the word Calendar.

Edit:

This must be possible to accomplish, as xws-mika said it is removed in the beta version that is out now. Does anyone know how they removed it?
