Hi all,

I'd installed the version 03.03.08 into my DNN4.5.1 and there wasn't much a prob except when installing it. i got this insane sql code prob that's 7 pages long in MSWord and since i'm a novice programmer i'm not sure what kind of prob it is, thou i didn't saw any red lines. If the admin/anyone is kind enough to look through it i'll send over the MSWord to your email as putting it here is definitely too long.

Secondly, like i said b4 i don't encounter much prob except the "Send Reminder" stuff. From what i can see, under the Enrollment Settings of a created event, selected enrolled users will get to be notified by the admin. Is there anyway to make an auto-send email where say for instance 30min b4 the event the system will send emails to enrolled users to remind them? Under Settings>Event Module Settings>Notification Settings i checked both boxes; i logged in as Host>Schedule edit [DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events] to enable the Schedule, Time lapse & Retry Frequency every 30mins, Retain Schedule History-10, Run on Event APPLICATION_START and finally checked on Catch Up Enabled. Yet no matter how many times i test i still don't receive any auto-notifications.

Also i want to sent email to ALL users whenever i created an event, like an email broadcast. Can anyone help me with my prob?Thx~

With regards,
JK

When will the Events module have it's own RSS feed? The core DNN syndication doesn't play very nice with the events module. For instance if you make changes to an event, it doesn't propegate to the scheduler in real time.

Downloaded 3.03.08 Thanks.

However when we set the Events Module to start in list View we get an error saying that Events and is currently unavailable.

The module starts fine in Month View.

Any ideas...

That's a known issue :-( and will hopefully be fixed in the next version.  As a workaround, disable category select for the module instance. For more infos see this thread: "Error: List Calendar is currently unavailable" with version 3.3.8.

Hi Alan -

First - Thanks for your work on this project!

Question:  Is there a demo site that demonstrates all of the functionality of this module?

I am hoping for an event calendar that does day/week/month views as well as a list of event view/views that can be selectively displayed by category.  Would like recurring events.  Would like users to be able to register/enroll in an event, download/export the events using vCal and be notified if an event time changes for which they have enrolled/subscribed.  Would like to publish category-specific calendars on the appropriate pages on a site.  It would be great (nice to have) if an individual can see a calendar that only displays the events for which they have subscribed/enrolled/registered.  Would like to have control over which view and category displayed by default on an individual page.  Also, would need to either print it directly and have some control over the formatting/level of content displayed, or have it export to some format where I had control over the formatting.  Nice to have would be room/resource conflict management or at least a way to display a resource calendar to do conflict management manually.

Perhaps it does all of this already (and much more).  I was at a loss as to where I might view all of the functionality.  Even a non-live set of screen shots showing the functionality and the level of detail would be great.

Sorry if this is an ignorant question/ramble - but I am very interested in this and hope that this module will enable me to rebuild a site in DNN.

Thanks again for all of your work, and the work of the whole community.  I wish I could be of more use.

- Rick
