Hi Roger.

The splash screen has its own skin which consists of a single content pane that is centered on the screen.  The skin file loads my javascript and jQueryUI files, and pre-loads the 2 picture images.  It uses setTimeout to trigger the animation.

The rest of the content is in an html module on the splash page.  A div, whose dimensions match the images, is created with overflow-x and overflow-y set to hidden.  The markup for the big pictures for the cars and people is within the div but they are positioned out of view to the left and right sides.  The translucent backgrounds with the words associated with each picture are a couple of more divs that are styled via CSS3.  There is one div for the translucent background, and one div for the words and club logo (otherwise the text inherits the transparency).  Those 2 are wrapped in another div, so that I can move them as a unit.

Eight lines of jQuery later, the center is filled-in, then swapped-out, then blown-up.
