Actually, My catagories are showing up, even when I have it deselected, and it seems that it does not matter if the locations is in the Available, or the Selected side, it still shows up. Screen shots:

Hi Gabriel,

Sorry, my error. If you also set a category in Filter Events by Category it will default new events to that Category and hide the category box from the edit view. If you don't want to do that then you can hide using css - trCategory is the correct id to hide.

The Available and Selected setting in Event List settings controls what is displayed in List and Day view, it won't effect what is displayed in Edit View.

Cheers

Roger

I really appreciate your help! :-)
I thought I had it... but when I found the css, I couldn't find those variables to comment out, so then I realized that I indeed don't know how :-)

Here is what I have in the modules folder:
Do I just add them here with a comment in front?

/* ================================

.EventsClr {float:left; width:30px; height:30px; border-right:1px solid #000; border-bottom:1px solid #000;}

No. You need to edit the Theme you are using, or preferably create a new one. Maybe worth you having a read of this - http://dnnevents.codeplex.com/documentation#Creating custom Event Themes

You should be able to add something like '#dnn_ctrnnn_EditEvents_trCategory {display:none;}' to hide that clientid I think, where nnn is the module number on your site.

Cheers
