However it has been stuck for several weeks waiting for a security check which it has passed every time since we did a major overhaul a couple of years ago. Very frustrating since it is teh last major hurdle to cross.

Working on non-core apps is much less hassle, since release cycles can be days rather than months

Yes - projects often seem to get stuck there. It must be very frustrating.

I have been trying release candidates for Events since they became available and cannot remember any significant issues.
5.2 has been flawless on my localhost and it seems to have passed most of the tests so I think I may take a chance and go with it on a production site.
The lure of the iCal export is too great to resist - this particular has wanted this feature for ages and, Thanks to you and Ernst they are about to get it.

Of course now we have export we can all start wanting Import.

Ian,

If you have a problem, then let me know and we'll resolve somehow.

I have made a tweak to a post 5.2.0 version to deal with DST support, so if you find you have an issue of correct times of events I can help you out. The problem is particularly caused when you host your site on a server that is set to a different timezone to the one your site is presenting events in. (e.g. My site is hosted in west US, but my site is a UK site). Should be easy to test on a local machine, just set the server to the same timezone as your production server.

Cheers

Roger

HI Roger

Thanks for the info and offer of help.  Re Time-zones - yes pesky things - I host everything in the UK so it should not be an issue.
Once I have upgraded later this week I will post a link to the page in case it is of use.

Thanks

Ian

Who do you host with and what is the cost? I only run a single site, with PowerDNN who, to be honest are very good. Just moved my site though to a newer server, and it has moved from one in UK timezone to one on Mountain time or the like. At least it highlighted a bug in the module.

Oh I can't wait for DST support in DNN, it is looooooooong overdue.

Cheers
Roger
