Hello all.
I'm on version 4.9.2 and use the calendar module for our events.  I currently have a calendar page where the calendar takes the entire center panel.  In our skin, we have one smallish left column and a large content panel to the right.

I use an RSS feed from calendar to display next 7 current calendar events. I’d like to change this by adding a small calendar in the small left column that only underlines the date (or uses any other mechanism) to display that a event is occurring on a given date.

Does the DNN calendar module support this?

The module comes with a theme called Small (which you can then customise as you see fit) that is designed for this purpose. You can see an example on the front page of our CodePlex site. If you then untick 'Enable Month View Cell Events' it should then just highlight the days on which there are events. There is text displayed, but you can change/remove this by editing template 'Month View No Cell Events Text'.
