This has proved more complex than I had envisaged but is mostly done. Having to carry GroupId around in the url everywhere is a pain....

A couple of things to note:-

  1.  Module settings are common across all the Social Groups for that module instance. There isn't as far as I'm aware an inbuilt way of storing settings per group, and you just don't want to know how many settings there are for the module.
  2. I'm not currently going to enable various items in the settings for groups
    1. Changing event owners
    2. Subscribing to event notifications - that means a whole new set of storing groupids - the info for new events will be in teh group journal anyway
    3. Sub-calendaring

There may be more as I progress, and you may have ideas of what is needed, but it is a big start.

Hi Steven,

No, we have integrated categories. I did have the code included to create all the base content items, but have disabled that for now since it adds significant extra DB load (basically at least tripling DB calls on new event creation). Potentially it could be re-enabled and then have the categories added as meta-tags, something I'd need to think through to make sure it works properly (which means me having time to spend understanding what needs to be done in Taxonomy).

I think that means we won't add until the next release. There is an item related to this on our CodePlex site which has only the initial vote on it when Ernst Peter created the item two years ago.
