Just wondering if there are any updates on this issue?

Anyone who has this issue, or have had this issue in the past, does DNN 5.3.0 fix this issue?

Thanks!

5.3.0 has fixed the issue it seems, although there is a possible side effect (the folder may still get created under some cirumstances, this is still logged as outstanding).
So try it and see if it works for you  .. any feedback for this issue will be appreciated.

Thanks...

Hi,

I'm having this nightmare too. My SQL just stopped with the eventlog full. I had to truncate the table.

I was using dnn 5.2.2 and I've just upgraded to 5.2.3 but the problem still persists.

I think that I need to wait for the 5.3 version. Until then, can I simply disable this schedule task? What realy the Purge Module Cache do?

I noticed this issue the other day, found this thread, then tried several of the suggestions here to fix it.  Can't be sure what I did (either creating the dumby cache folder in root, or enabling the "Purge Cache" item in the schedule (was disabled) - but the error went away while still in 5.2.2.

The question I have may/may not be related.  When I first notice this issue, there were (and still are) 5 "Purge Module Cache" items in the schedule.  All enabled.  All (seemingly) with the same exact settings.  Of course I disabled 4 of them...danced around until I got that one item to proccess with success...then upgraded DNN5.2.2 to 5.3.1.  The 4 (disabled) items are still in the cache (copied below).  Where did they come from?  Are they safe to delete?

Please take a look at the schedule below and advise...any recomendations are appreciated.

Also...the "Output Cache Provider" on individual page settings shows "None Specified" - and there is nothing in the drop-down menu.
