Trying to upgrade from DNN 04.09.05 to 05.02.03 (Vista, .NET 3.5)

When i run loaclhost/mysitename I get the following error:-

BC30456: Error'LastModifiedDate' is not a member of 'DotNetNuke.Modules

Can anyone give me any clues as to what is wrong

Thanks in advance Cliff

P.S. I have been installing this CMS since the IBuySpy days and  have never (i repeat) never had an installation that has been straightforward. This is very discouraging for a tool that has such a long history!! ( I have probably installed DNN on at least 40 occassions and I am beginning to wonder why I have stayed with it over the years). I have always found a solution to problems but my current problem has outwitted me

It is probably safe to bet that one of the SQL scripts failed during your upgrade. You should check the recent .LOG files in the providers/dataprovider/sqldataprovider folder to see which SQL failed, if you can pinpoint it you can likely rerun the SQL to correct your issues.

Thanks Chris for your quick response.

Your hunch was correct. The creation of a new SP failed (SP = 'Dashboard_GetInstalledModules', found in log 05.01.00.log - I am using SQL Server 2008).

The odd thing is that when I cut and paste the creation command and try to run the creation procedure it fails and it seems to be complaining about the 'Select' part of the statement. Now from what I can see this seems to be a permissions issue. What I cannot understand is why my permissions have changed. I was after all doing an upgrade using the original database (and its current settings) so why would the permssions change. Having said this I have looked at all the relevant permissions and these seem to be set ok. So I am even more baffled.

Any other ideas would much appreciated.

Thanks again

The permissions where changed? In SQL? Could it be related to this blog post that Cathal posted earlier today?

make sure, you are running SQL Server 2005 or 2008 and database compatibility level is set to 90 or 100.
