Thanks all! I am about to finish one more round of skin changes then try the whole migration for a third time. I will test some of these ideas with that migration. I hope it is just some sort of DNS issue that resolves itself when the old site is offline. I will post again after Labor Day with the latest! Thanks!

HI all, Well I permanently moved the site tonight. Even with the root name bound to the new IP and server, the HOST menu still doesn't work. My URLs matche the URLs posted by Trae. I can't make a new SuperUser account because I can't get to that menu option. I did modify the users table to set IsSuperUser to true for the Admin account, but the host menu doesn't work still. Lastly, I tried upgrading from DNN 5.02.03 to 5.05 and that didn't help. I am committed to fixing this as I cannot go back to the old server. Thoughts? Thanks, Neo

Another note... I tried it from Chrome and found this error: Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

I solved it! I have an SSL certificate on the site for secure transactions. The HOST menu is trying to use HTTPS. I moved the SSL cert to the new server and all is working again! Special thanks to Trae and Vijay for their help!

I solved it!  After reading and trying suggestions from Trae and Vijay, I tried a few other things.

In short, I completely migrated to the new server.  With the new IP and server running, there was no going back.  I even tried updating from DNN 5.02.03 to 5.05 and I still had the problem.

It was only after trying to access the HOST pages using Google Chrome did the problem become apparent.  Chrome clearly presented the URL that could not be found with a "TIMED OUT" error.  I noticed the HTTPS in the url.

The original site used an SSL cert for some transactions.  Apparently the HOST menu is bound to only showing SSL pages.  I moved the SSL certificate to the server and everything works fine now!

Thanks for the great ideas that led me in the right direction.

NEO
