Thanks for the reply.  I went into the install folder to get the 2.4 version that is included with the blog but the only thing there for the blog was a .resources file.  Do I need to rename that to something like .zip or is the dll located somewhere else?

That's correct. Any extensions having the file extension .resources are actually .zip archives which can be installed from the Host --> Extensions page using (in DNN 6) the "Available Extensions" tab. If you do not want to install the Blog module and instead manually extract the assembly you will frist need to rename the install package to .zip rather than .resources.

Thanks.  I was able to extract the dll and I inserted it into the bin folder.  The website came up fine.

Hi, think i'm having the same problem with one of my portals.
But i can't seem to find the log4net logfile, where is it located?
I also unzipped the resouce file, but the .dll file is called ...v2.dll. When i remove the V2 i still get the version error message.

If i know how to get the log file, i will be able to check if it's the same problem.

For now I had to revert back to my backups.
