We had the same compatibility issue. 

This module is used heavily on our site, so I ended up updating the code myself.  If you would like me to send you a zip file of the modified project that works with DNN 6.0, let me know.

if the licence is applicable might i suggest someone create a codeplex project for the codebase that works in 6.0.
