If AutoUpgrade has been set to "false" in the <appSettings> section of the installation's web.config:

<add key="AutoUpgrade" value="false" />

you will need to browse to the following url to trigger the upgrade:

mydomain/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade

although I'm not sure if that is the issue since it does appear that the installer did kick into action as it asked for your host credentials.

Mark,

I fixed it. It turns out that I had moved my IIS install to another drive but gorgot to update the dotnetnuke AppPool. since I hadn't trashed the old location of inetpub, I hadn't noticed. Untill I tried to update the files and was putting them in the new DNN filder and the appPool was still running in the old DNN folder. All is well now.

Thanks for all you help.

Dan
