We have this exact bug logged in our Pro issue tracker for a number of releases.....

There is a simple workaround.. if you do not wish to use the Content Staging or SharePoint functionality

Just remove the line in web.config containing 'multipleSiteBindingsEnabled'
I typically see this on line 460 your mileage may vary

Thanks for the reply Ken.  We removed the line from the web.config and the site comes up without issue.  Thanks again.
