Hmmm....... Is there a safe way for me to roll back to version 6 then?

Hopefully prior to the first upgrade attempt you created a complete backup of the installation's folders and files and also a backup of the site's MS SQL Server database and can restore both the filesystem and the database, perhaps with the help of GoDaddy support.

The immediate issue is that the assembly file the /bin/Telerik.Web.UI.dll did not get replaced with the newer version for DNN 7 or it's binding redirect in web.config did not get updated properly as part of the upgrade process. We could try to track down and solve that issue but since the upgrade failed part way through it is highly likely that there are other issues with the upgrade. For that reason it is best if you have the proper backups and can restore them.

Then before making another upgrade attempt we will need to figure out why this one failed - most likely due to insufficient permissions on the file system or that the hosting account's configuration does not meet the new minimum requirements for DNN 7. These are that the site's application pool is running ASP.Net 4.0 or 4.5 in integrated pipeline mode and MS SQL Server 2008 or 2012.

EDIT: I just took a second look at the stack trace of the error. It does appear that the application pool is ASP.Net 4.0/4.5.

Well, unfortunately, I didn't make any backups. Having never had a problem before, I guess I got complacent, and didn't foresee a problem, and it bit me. Yeah. Lesson learned.
