Hi, after upgrade my old ver 04.09.02 to 06.02.06 I noticed What's New module (3.3.0) stopped to refresh itself (still show same old items). Is there any way how to fix it or it's already unsupported ? If unsupported, could anybody recommend other similar&free module (view a list of the most recently added or updated content) ?

Michal,

you are talking about a very old module - but anyway, I  use it in DN 6.2.5, and it is still working. The module is dependant from DNN Search, so please check if the Search Engine Scheduler is active (Host :: Schedule), and if it runs without any excptions.

Try to clean your search tables (see here) an reindex your site. Does the module update then?

Best wishes
Michael

Hi, Search Engine is active and schedule history show Succeed run(s). I also tried run SQL command you mentioned, but it doesn't help. After this, What's new module is empty, also search return no results. So it seems like more bigger problem than I expected.

To fix search function I tried run  Host > Search admin > Re-Index Content and Host > Schedule > Search Engine Scheduler > Run Now but none of this help. After I check search engine Log, duration is like 0 or 0,013 seconds, but before upgrade it was around 60s, so there is some problem. Any advise how to fix ?

Michal,

did you look in the Event Log to find out if there were any exceptions during the re-index process?

What I forgot to say: After clearing the search index tables (as described in the link above) you should clear the cache and recycle the AppPool. Then go to the Search settings and click on re-index (or wait until the scheduled task has run).

Best wishes
Michael

There were no errors in the Event log, but after long&painful debugging, issue is solved now. All steps you mentioned were probably needed, but last piece of puzzle was to switch site language from CZ to EN (optionally back to CZ). It seems system was stuck somewhere in the middle after upgrade. And it was not only one bug needed to solve during upgrade process, next time I will deeply reconsider any upgrade of DNN...
