Just upgraded an install to 7.1 from 6.x. No errors were reported during upgrade.

After upgrade found I couldn't access any of the settings areas (i.e. page settings, site settings, host settings) at each attempt the following was recorded in the event log:

AssemblyVersion: 7.1.0

ActiveTabName: Host Settings

ExceptionGUID: 4a06520a-c7ef-40ae-9155-da08e6dce6f9

InnerException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Method: DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionButtonList.get_ModuleActions

StackTrace:

Has anyone got an idea on how to fix this? It appears the 'ModuleActions' isn't available.

TIA

Antony

HI,
i'm not sure if this is the same, but I and another had a similar inability ot access Admin and Host. The error reported referred to nunit.framwork. A work around was found see

I've got the exact same issue as you. My hosting provider thinks it's a skin problem, (I upgraded from 7.06). I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a similar problem. I upgraded to 7.1 and had myriad of problems went back to 7.0.4.

Now no admin icons appear when I click the admin link.  Also if I click the admin link there is no error it just goes straight to the home page and the browser reports www.mysite.com

if I type the url manually it works ie I type www.mysite.com/admin.aspx brings up all the admin icons

www.mysite.com/admin/pages.aspx bings up the page admin screen

All host icons appear when i click the host link

The DNN install has 9 portals and all the portals except one seem to function OK.

The portal that has the problem was open and being edited while the upgrade was happening

I have restarted the webservice - no difference, so I rebooted the server still no difference

Regards

Wayne

Bump ... Anyone?

I have applied the 7.1 default skin to the site with no benefit.  The issue occurs for all sites in the install.
