Oh good point dealing with Cache. We changed from File Cache to Memory Cache because of Save issues inside the admin for the newer 7.0.6. I might need to clear out the old cache files.

I am having a similar issue. I've update to 7.1.1 from 5.6.x (using the DNN recommended path), but now cannot save the HTML module changes. I click save, it seems to save (postback, returns to page), but the changes are not shown.

How do you clear out the cache files?

I found where to clear the cache:

HOST -> Host Settings -> Clear Cache button at the bottom.

I found where to change the FCKHtml Editor to the correct (for reasons I don't understand) DotNetNuke RadEditorProvider

HOST -> HTML Editor Manager button ->  Choose from the dropdown on the left.

I then cleared the cache again and restarted the application.  I can now save correctly.  Thanks for the help.

Jarrod, for security reasons please uninstall old FCKEditor and make sure that filder /Providers/htmleditorproviders/FCK is removed as well.
You may install successor of FCKEditor 2 called CKEditor 4, which you may download for free at https://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com

Sebastian,  Could you please tell me how to uninstall this.  When I go to the HOST -> Extensions, then expand Providers, I see "DotNetNuke Fck Html Editor Provider" v2.0.4 listed.  Unfortunately, just as I have found with the skins I need to uninstall, there is no trash icon to "uninstall this extension".  Should I be looking somewhere else?
