The easiest and surewst way to fix this shit is to download dnn source code, compile dnn in debug mode, search for string "Unable to locate a controller" (it's in file D:\dev\DNN_Platform_07.03.02_Source\DNN Platform\DotNetNuke.Web\Api\DnnHttpControllerSelector.cs in line 80), put a breakpoint there and you will see exactly what is the problem. in my case i see web service was not registered at all, now i have to figure out why. and its not even my code, it's DataExchange module example i downloaded.

Hi Guys,

I have the same problem to get the WebAPI to run. Now the problem only occures on IIS version 8. On my local machine I use IIS7 and it works without any problem. Now I found this on the internet http://dnn-connect.org/community/answ... but it doesn't really apply as I don't have any unused references in my project. I'm using the exact same code as "Grant Williams":

Imports System
Imports System.Net
Imports System.Net.Http
Imports System.Web.Http
Imports DotNetNuke.Web.Api

Public Class WelcomeController
Inherits DnnApiController
Implements IServiceRouteMapper

_
_
Public Function HelloWorld() As HttpResponseMessage
Return Request.CreateResponse(HttpStatusCode.OK, "Hello World!")
End Function

Public Sub RegisterRoutes(mapRouteManager As IMapRoute) Implements IServiceRouteMapper.RegisterRoutes
mapRouteManager.MapHttpRoute("MyServices", "default", "{controller}/{action}", New String() {"MyServices"})
End Sub

End Class

Any help would be appreciated.
