OK, here is the deal:
i try to convert as much as possible, allthough i'm not really into c#, and all the points i cannot resolve i'll send over to you.
After merging all of this you will have the whole project in VB as well and you could use it additionally in your tutorial.
How does this sound?

I'm not really into VB myself :) but with the help you are offering I am sure we will create something useful.
Just drop me a line if you run into problems and we'll try to sort it out.
