Glad you got it working - sometimes its the simple things which get us!

The difference is that when you click on Import or Export module, a call is not made directly to your controller's ImportModule or ExportModule respectively. Instead, the DNN framework uses reflection to instantiate the controller class based on the fully qualified class name and assembly name that it reads the business controller class node in the module definition. A call is then made to the controller class's ImportModule or ExportModule methods which together implement the IPortable interface. If the business controller class is not specified correctly in the module definition, there is a failure to instantiate the controller class as was happening in your case.
