I am working on a Silverlight 4 app and have made a DNN module to act as a host (based on Michael Washington's SL3 Hello World module).

The problem is the SL app is not loading on the embedded module page. I uploaded the HTML test file that I used during development and that works fine
(I had to add the IIS MIME mappings etc).

There are no error messages or any clue as to why the page is not loading my .xap - anyone got any tips for debugging this? Is it something to do with the fact that I am running ASP.NET 3.5 instead of 4 (I would not have thought so as it is clientside).

Here you can see the app working in the HTML test page - http://www.pokerdiy.com/DesktopModule...
But here is the page that should load it but doesn't -   Poker Chip Calculator

You have to have the developer version of th Silverlight run-time installed. You have to un-install the normal Silverlight run-time and install the develop[er version that you get in the Silverlight4_Tools.exe file.

Thanks Michael - I am a little reluctant to install dev tools on my live server but will do that if there are not other options.

Can you think of any reason why it would work in HTML file but not in the .ascx (it's the same directory and .xap file) - did you have problems in this area at all? From what I understand it is all client-side so it would not need anything in particular on the server?

Ok, the plot thickens - I have the same problem on my local dev environment (where I created the app) - I am running the latest Silverlight Developer run time (4.0.50524.0) but there is just no indication as to why the Silverlight is not loading - it is just invisible.

The .aspx test page works fine too (so it's not the fact that it was an .html page) - as soon as it's wrapped in the DNN module it does not work, but with no indication why *sigh*

Sorry, more to add - I added all your Hello World files to a project Michael and I get the same thing on my dev site - nothing loads and no error message or warning... very strange!
