Hi,

I have an odd (and irritating :) ) issue:

On my local development installation (only), I get the following when attempting to make configuration changes to the HTML Editor config:
"The current HTML Editor Provider is not supported by this version of the HTML Editor Manager."

I've checked the 'desktopmodules/admin/HtmlEditorManager' files as well as the 'bin/DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider.dll' file versions for this version of DNN [7.4.0 (353) ] and they are the same for this installation and my online websites, as well as the web.config entries  - and they work!

I have only got the DNN RAD editor available both cases...

Any ideas?

regards,
Duncan

this is very strange, which version of RadEditor shows up to be installed in Host > Extensions?

We have seen this on about 3 legacy system upgrades.

In all cases we wound up moving the sites over to the ckeditor as a last resort.

Just accept the fact that you loose the ability to save and easily create custom page templates and you will do ok with it.

Sebastion,

Aha! You got it!

I didn't think to look there... and the extension shows it is 7.3.3 so:

1) Clearly, the upgrade package didn't overwrite that bit
2) and logically, the report was correct.

So I did this:

a) Reinstalled the upgrade package. No joy.
b) 'Fudged' it by manually updating the 7.3.3 entry in the Host>extensions to 7.4.0. No joy.
c) Downloaded and overwrote the online files from my working site to this local site. No joy.

conclusion: 1) isn't correct, but 2) probably is.

NB: I'm pursuing this only because I have neat bit of JQuery that insists on the script being in the physical location of the result. (It's a countdown thing...).
In order to do this, I need to set the flag that allows scripts in the HTML Editor.... Which I can't currently do (on my local test environment only... the online live sites are fine...)
So I took a look at both XML files and the database that might hold the flag... couldn't find that either!
I suspect I can resolve this by introducing the ckEditor as suggested here - but that would be giving up!!! :)

Any other suggestions?
regards,
Duncan

PS. Thanks for the support.

... actually I found the relevant xml file two minutes after my last comment (typical...)

I changed the flag by copying the 'ContentFilter' property of the config.xml file at '...\DesktopModules\Admin\RadEditorProvider\ConfigFile'... which fixed the problem.

Rgds,
Duncan.
