The fact that you receive the confirmation message says that the SMTP Settings are correct and that mail is being passed to the SMTP server.

If the registration confirmation message is not being received, that may mean that the SMTP server isn't able to send the message to the person who registered.

First, check the event log for any messages. If the SMTP server rejects the message or refuses to send it, you may have an error there.

The SMTP server should also have logs. If you can contact someone who runs that, you should be able to get complete and detailed information about the email transactions.

Most commonly, I see SMTP servers that are set up to deny relaying. They will send an email to addresses within their domain, but they will not send to addresses outside of the domain. This is a configuration issue with the SMTP server, and it needs to be solved by the organization that controls it. There's nothing that you can do ... except ask them to fix it.

Bear in my test messages will come from yoru host email address, registration emails come from your admin email addresses. Both need to be valid for relay.
