Since this problem will still exist even if you upgrade to the new 3.3.7, I followed the same route and uninstalled the links module completely. However, in order to preserve the links already entered first I used the "Export module" function to save the data as XML, hoping that after re-installing 3.3.7 I could simply import the data back in. Guess what - it worked!

Hi all,

well...appear ridiculous how I solved my issue:

A critical error has occurred.
"An object reference not definided on an object instance" dont remember the exact text

My system with Win XP Pro, IIS, Default and just new 4.4.1, the issue comes when I upgraded the links module to 3.3.7...then, I tryied all you posted here, uninstall and install again, etc, but, what really solved when I was giving up talking on the phone and playing with top left module menu was "CLEAR CACHE". I know, but before try all the take time SQL and UNINSTALL, try first clear the cache, and then go foward with the backward posts fix,

I had the same problem editing the links in DNN 4.1.1 - running the script up suggested, everything went fine, good luck, Tiziano.

Hey Alec, I have a question for you on running DNN on IIS7 on crystal tech... support is not much help... The suggested you.... can you email me at williame@laureateinfosys.net?
