Will the new module pull a feed from the DNN blog module?...yes or no?  I can't seem to find an answer on this.  But I can tell you it does not work for me on DNN 4.5.3.

Tyler, I subscribe to a number of the forums and get email notifications.

I just got two of your responses and I have to say your tone is not polite.

Peter has been giving work to DNN for years and I have read numerous responses he has given and he has been polite and helpful.

We all live in the real world and he has his own life and family to take care of.

If you don't get a response here in a timely fashion politely take your question to a more general forum and see if the wider community can help you out.

the reason my tone seemed rude is because i meant it to be rude.  i wasted money on his modules.  they were over priced and they under performed.  support was poor, communication was worse and my issues were never resolved.  i stand by my "tone".  I am not happy that Peter is the project lead for any DNN module.  I see no reason not to share my experiences with the DNN comminity.

This is not the place to vent your problems with his or anyone's commercial modules. The forum is dedicated to the News module which happens to be lead by Peter. You will probably receive no help with an aggressive tone. And this has nothing to do with Peter, community members are the ones that may or may not respond and my personal experience is that negative, aggressive posts tend to be left with no replies.

Tyler, whilst you're perfectly entitled to your opinions we do not allow flaming or trolling in this forums so I've deleted your other post which IMO violated forum policy, and would ask you to please follow forum rules here. If you have a problem with an individual developer because of his modules then his support forums/website/email are the approriate channels, not here.

As to your question, I believe it should work fine as the blog module emits rss (e.g. if I click on the rss symbol on the blog homepage here, i get this path http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/rssid/0/Default.aspx which can be consumed by any rss reader). Please note that some hosting providers lock down their install of asp.net and don't allow access to external sites , this may be your issue. Please take a look at the "code access security" document @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Documentation/tabid/478/Default.aspx for more details.
