Kilzfire, your 'http://feeds.warhammeronline.com/warherald/RSSFeed.war?type=general'  feed displays with the new beta version being tested.  I was able to get by that issue.  Just FYI.

Cheers

Even that it is not my most important feed i'm using, it's the most beloved.

http://feedproxy.google.com/DilbertDailyStrip?format=xml

To limit the display of only one strip i'm using following code in the set XLS-File.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/>
<xsl:param name="TITLE"/>
<xsl:template match="rss">
  <!-- Do not show channel image -->
  <xsl:for-each select="channel/item">
    <xsl:if test="position() &lt; 2">
     <br>
      <strong><a href="{link}" target="_new"><xsl:value-of select="title"/></a></strong><br></br>
      <!-- only display markup for description if it's present -->
      <xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="description"/>
      </br>
      <br></br>
    </xsl:if>
  </xsl:for-each>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="description">
  <br>
    <xsl:value-of select="."/>
  </br>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

In the old version of the News-Module (03.01.01) it is working as desired, but no longer after the update to 4.

Sometimes, without any rule, a message appears that the field WEBMASTER is not recognized.

Kai

I have tested your feed and your xsl using DNN 4.9.0 and Newsfeed module 4.00.01 beta and I am getting the desired results.

In this case I get a single Dilbert Strip dated 28th September 2008

I simply dropped a newsfeed module onto the page, set the feed and uploaded a copy of your xsl to the module.

if you are using Newsfeeds version 4.00.00 then I suggest that you take a look at Peter's beta version that contains a number of intrim fixes.

It should be noted that version 4:00:01 has not gone through the normal DNN release process at this time.

Because you are getting an error on the WEBMASTER field I assume that you are using version 4.00.00 of the Newsfeeds module.

Cheers

Craig

Thanks a lot Craig.

You were right, i was using the official 4.00.00. Now, after the upgrade to 4.00.01 the mosted loved Feed by my users is back again. Could u imageine what happened as the Daily Dilbert was gone? Downtime of the whole Intranet....well, ok, lets wait 2 hours. But no Dilbert in the morning? That's a no-go!!!

Cheers
