It has been over a month with no word here about any movement on this issue. It is affecting many of my sites that have just upgraded to .NET 4.5. After such an upgrade, the only option I have is to move back to .NET 3.5, but will that break anything?

Does anyone have any news on the cause or a workaround for this failure?

I just hit this after upgrading to DNN 7.0 which requires .NET 4.x; I figured it would be good to upgrade to .NET 4.5 since I was on an older version... Any news here would be welcome.

Yann, if you haven't already added your vote to fixing this item, you could vote for it on CodePlex:

Scroll down to the item called "News Feeds 4.2.2 stops working after .Net Framework upgrade to v. 4.5", make sure you are logged in, and click the Vote button. Hopefully, that will bring more attention to this issue.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the advice. I've now added my vote, but with only 7 votes (now) it doesn't seem like it's going to get the attention that it deserves. The problem with relying on voting systems like this is that people need to know about them for the systems to be effective. Microsoft suffer from the same problem. Luckily, you managed to catch me, but how many others are out there, suffering with this bug because their environment was "upgraded" without their knowledge (like mine was), & simply don't know where to go to voice their problem.

I ask whoever wrote the module, "why has it taken so long to still have no fix"?
