This is as i thought, and surely we can have somebody put together a point-form list of hilights similar to this one:

This would be such an aid for those of us not always around or with the time to walk the changelogs or roadmaps. Please understand, i am not knocking anyone's efforts, simply pointing out something i perceive to be lacking.

As more volunteers come forward we may eventually be able to do this. At this point we have "advanced to the level" where we were able to publish a large series of Blogs that highlighted the latest features of DNN 4.5. This was a big step for us. I created 3 tutorials on DNN 4.5:

  • Creating A DotNetNuke Module using ASP.NET AJAX
  • DotNetNuke ASP.NET AJAX Web Service (VB &C#)
  • DotNetNuke Secure ASP.NET AJAX Web Service

    Hi Mike!

Just to let you know I *very* much appreciate your efforts in helping teach DNN module coding, its been very helpful to me. Your my "DNN" -> DotNuke Ninja LOL.

As I said in another thread, just coming up to speed on things (and for some reason keep thinking I ought leap to C# from VB) and working on a forms module. No, its not up to say X-Factor (or whatever it is)... more like "F-Factor" LOL, lots of alphabet inbetween still :). Be happy to hand it over to the core when done.

But its good to see you here, again, appreciate all your efforts. Pehaps someday we may meet and have "DNN & IT" -> DotNuked Noodles & Italian Tiramisu :)

to keep this thread focused, let me re-iterate. And this is will an honest "all due respect", and not meant to put anyone's nose out of joint, but surely to maintain a simple document that only outlines at a high level all (or most) of the new features, the idea behind the features, the general usage of a feature, would be easy. Every project lead could spend 5 minutes outlining what they did, or delegate the task, and submit it to one location, i would volunteer right now to do that. Then each new feature could be recorded in an easy-to-read and version-oriented location.

....Then folks like myself could open this up, read the last few release notes back to where they last left dnn, and be back up to speed in short order. Most software products do this, and given the delegated nature of the work in the dnn project, this could be minimized on a per-feature effort.

    Just a thought...
