Hi Steve,

Am I correct in assuming that the moderator does not get notified by email that a record is ready for approval?

And that the only way to know if a record needs approval is to check the module several times a day?

TIA
Buck

Nope you should still receive an email like you used to. Before it just went out the the site administrator and I can't remember if that changed to everyone with moderator rights or not but will check the code.

EDIT: I just checked the code and the administrator of the site gets emailed.

Hi mikeh

I found the same issue in the forums module , The moderator of a forum does not get any notification

email that some posts are waiting for approoval .I tried differrent ways like selecting a normal user as a moderator

and administrator as moderator but in either cases the person does not get any email about the posts

waiting for the approoval

Does the Host account for the portal have a legitimate email address? I've found that if the Host account doesn't have a proper email address that there's problems getting emails sent out?

Have you checked the Event Viewer to see if there are any errors reported about email?

Are you having a problem with both the Repository and the Forum or just the Forum? If it's just the Forum then I suggest you post in that forum as I don't know its functions well enough to suggest where to look. If it's both then that leads back to my first two questions.

When will this be updated to all of the members of the group that has been defined as Moderator?  Not all site admins would be moderators for everything within a portal.  There could be a person or group of people delegated to moderate a specific module within a portal.

Is there a hint as to where I should look and what an appropriate edit would be to send the notice to all members of the group that has been selected as moderators?
