Hi

I have found some issues with the repository module and the CuteSoft HTML Editor which I have installed on my site and it's gone through various challenges - eg.. worked in 3.16 in the Upload section, but not in the Module/settings area.

Then in 3.18, it appears in the Upload section, but does not allow me to add content since the expand buttons don't work and the editor is permanently not showing the area where you actually add content. But it's only the top section (short description) area this is happening.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

I've emailed screen shots a couple of times now with the line of the JS error, but no response, so perhaps any users of the module have found a work around.

Thanks

Nina Meiers

Hmmm, I must've missed the "new post" notification.

I haven't tested with any of the other editors with 3.1.8 yet but I do remember the issue you mention with 3.1.6. It was with Telerik's R.A.D. editor. I don't know whether I was correct in my deductions or not as I never heard back but I thought it was because Settings inherits ModuleSettingsBase instead of PortalModuleBase. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/ModuleRepository/tabid/830/forumid/54/threadid/11139/scope/posts/Default.aspx is the thread where this was discussed. I'll setup the FCK editor and see if I run into the same problems you're getting with CuteSoft in the Upload section.

Hey Nina, I downloaded the trial of the editor and I see what you mean. I think the problem in Settings are still the same as I mentioned above unless you can point me to a module that also uses a FTB in the settings area. As for the Upload area, I tried adding a height tag to the form.xml but it didn't make a difference but I'm not sure what tags the [DESCRIPTION] object accepts. At this point the only thing I can suggest for a work around is to switch to the Basic Textbox so that you can enter the info you need. It's not a great fix but the best I can think of.

Nina, sort of good news Steve just had me test the CuteEditor and it's working in the Upload section (http://www.bus.nait.ab.ca/staff/mikeh/editor.jpg). If you click on the + sign it'll expand out so that you can see more of the white area. EDIT: Oops, I should specify that it was in 3.1.8 that I was testing.

No go, still, on the Settings page. I think the editor developers need to look at it from their end (as per my earlier posts about it relying on PortalModuleBase).
