Hello,

I am using the linkexchange_template.zip that someone in this forum has promoted (I did not find the original discussion, sorry). And now, I would like to be able to have the TITLE or the THUMBNAIL going to the "download" item.
I mean that I would like to be able to CLICK on the THUMBNAIL or the TITLE to download the item.

Is this possible ?
Thanks a lot,
DV FX
PS: I have already searched in the documentation or the template, without finding anyhting...

TITLE is easy, just add a DOWNLOAD setting in your template.xml file for the TITLE object and set it's value to true

eg:

 <Object>
  <Token>[TITLE]</Token>
  <Settings>
   <Setting>
    <Name>CssClass</Name>
    <Value>Head</Value>
   </Setting>
   <Setting>
    <Name>DOWNLOAD</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
   </Setting>

  </Settings>
 </Object>

If you need to also provide download capability by clicking on the thumbnail, let me know, that is a little more complicated and requires a little 'template magic'  :)

Ok, that's perfect, I have already improved the xml as proposed, it is great !!!

But people complain, because they do not find easily how to click on the link ("Visit"). That's why I thought it was a good idea to put a link on the title, and I also had the request to put a link on the thumbnail. Can I add the DOWNLOAD setting to the template.xml for thumbnail or it won't work ???
And how can I know if DOWNLOAD apply to TITLE only or other settings ? Is there any guide to token (I already have the guide for repository, but it is not clear enough if DOWNLOAD can apply to everything or not...) ?

If you can guide me for the thumbnail, it would be great. I am currently using the linkexchange template (provided somewhere here in the forum, for my LINKS page).

Can you provide a link to the linkexchange template?  I believe Gooddogs originally provided a link but he has since moved things around and it no longer works.

I too would like to know how to make the thumbnail link to the file or link that has been uploaded.

Thanks,

Michael
